Data Center Electrical Safety & Power System Infographic

Overview

This project focused on developing a strategic infographic to visually communicate how i-Gard solutions integrate across the electrical infrastructure of data centers.

The goal was to translate complex technical systems into a clear, engaging format that could be easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences, while supporting marketing and sales efforts.

The Challenge

i-Gard offers a wide range of electrical safety products, but communicating how these products work together within a complete system can be complex.

Customers and prospects often understand individual products, but not how they integrate across the full electrical chain of a data center.

The challenge was to simplify this complexity into a single visual that:

  • Explains the full system clearly

  • Highlights product positioning

  • Supports real-world applications

  • Helps sales teams communicate value more effectively

Objective

The objective of this project was to:

  • Position i-Gard as a complete electrical safety solutions provider

  • Support sales conversations with a clear and structured visual tool

  • Improve customer understanding of product applications within real systems

  • Create a versatile asset usable across trade shows, website, and sales materials

Strategy

The strategy was to shift from a product-based approach to a system-based storytelling approach.

Instead of presenting products individually, the infographic maps the full electrical chain of a data center—from service entrance to distribution and equipment level—and positions each product where it delivers the most value.

This approach helps users understand not just what the products are, but how they work together within a real-world environment.

Execution

I led the development of this project from concept to final delivery, including:

  • Structuring the content to reflect the full electrical system

  • Translating technical engineering concepts into user-friendly messaging

  • Designing the infographic layout and visual hierarchy

  • Mapping each product to its real application within the system

  • Ensuring alignment between technical accuracy and marketing clarity

The final output includes a detailed visual supported by technical explanations for each component, making it both a marketing asset and an educational tool.

Key Elements

The infographic includes:

  • A system-level visualization of a data center electrical infrastructure

  • Product placement across key stages such as service entrance, switchgear, distribution, and equipment

  • A clear numbering system linking visual elements to technical explanations

  • Supporting descriptions explaining the role of each product in maintaining safety, reliability, and uptime

As shown in the main visual, the entire electrical chain is mapped to demonstrate how i-Gard solutions interact within a real-world environment.

Impact

This project became a key asset to support:

  • Sales enablement by simplifying complex technical systems

  • Customer education by improving clarity around product applications

  • Marketing positioning by reinforcing i-Gard as a complete solutions provider

  • Trade show communication by providing a clear visual explanation at booths

It also helped shift the conversation from individual products to integrated system solutions, strengthening the overall value proposition.
